Archive for February, 2008

I was going through files on my computer tonight and came across this file that Crystal Anne (the vlogger vixen of spiritual guidance) made for me years ago.
I am happy to say, Mrs. Anne, that I have found that person to touch… touch- touch- touch for the rest of my life. I’m going to try [...]

Katie and I laughed at this, but it’s probably not funny if we could read it

100, original 8-bit, Nintendo games to play in your web browser. Enough said.

Just after a week of being up here, I got my first snow. Yay!

Katie, Toby and I went out tonight around 11pm to play in it. Katie was “ice skating” on the wooden deck out back, but would have killed me if I put up pictures of that

Childhood

“A picture is worth a thousand words and infinite emotions.“

Pest control? Feels more like the Kentucky Tour de Venture.

Not “party” as it lacked a lot of the over the top elements. Excitement included chocolate zuchinni cake, Balderdash & G-Rated sex talk.
We all made the best of a great situation

Jules & I are playing with the colors for our bridal party, so I decided to put it against the background for our ceremony.

14 hours in the car, going up and down the mountains & curves, with icy conditions was GREAT for my nerves

“Distance makes the heart go digital.“

It’s official.
The ceremony will be at the Brown-Lanier House in Mill Springs, Kentucky.
I made the call today and reserved the date. I go over next week to sign the contract.

I captioned these and Photoshop ASPLODED, so I am not going back to retitle them. Enjoy.

Pictures, as promised.

After 17 hours on the road, I’m safe & sound in Kentucky. Pictures & stories to follow.
Oh and I have poor cellphone reception up here. If you want to reach me, TXT me.

I originally wrote this as a comment, but wanted to make it more visible.
I keep reflecting on the night.
My manhood & maturity, kept being called into question. I took the grabs & pushes with my arms outstretched. I responded to the insults and attacks with diffusing words, repeating, “Don’t worry, we’re leaving. We’re leaving.” [...]

Any readers remember the Friend’s Board I made to keep track of when I interacted with friends and family members so that life didn’t drown my good intentions to keep in touch with loved ones?
Well, this is kind of like version 2.0. There are a lot of friends and family members where we’re moving and [...]

Julie with an ironic choice of words.
“Diapers cost a shitload!”
The first words I heard before being ripped from the couch.
“GET UP!”
One of many toasts during our double date on Valentine’s Day.
To my past love & future wife.
Joe, my brother, telling of his urgency to make a trip to Florida regarding our move.
“No, I’m getting down [...]

“Mother Earth takes care of her own and we are red-blooded step-children.”

Trains of thought collided recently and I wondered how the poor could eat healthy, despite the assumed price it costs to do so.
Basic health says you need carbohydrates for energy, protein for substance & vegetables for nutrients. Based on this Carb, Protein, Vegetable essentials, I tried to think of some very cheap and simple meals [...]

I love clever ad design.

Interesting article.

“Ants aren’t smart,” Gordon says. “Ant colonies are.” A colony can solve problems unthinkable for individual ants, such as finding the shortest path to the best food source, allocating workers to different tasks, or defending a territory from neighbors. As individuals, ants might be tiny dummies, but as colonies they respond quickly and effectively [...]

“I told her what she wanted to hear, even though it killed me.“

I’ll walk til I crawl
Crawl til I slither
Bleed my bowels
from the skin they wither
I’ll do all these things
of the storm you weather
A cloud among night
Your iridescent feather
If a sun, the morn does mother
I’ll gather myself & reconsider

The End.

I’ve got marks on my body, that I’m not sure where they came from. I’ve got scars on the heart that I’m wearing for the “love” you give my loved ones. I’ve got a thousand words for your two ears, the math & your ignorance makes it impossible to speak. I’ve got people in my [...]

Preparing for the worst, expecting the best.
Jules and I are moving to Kentucky. I can’t wait. Should happen within the month.

I am loved.

10Feb08

I’ve been so lucky to find someone who sees my shine, despite the clutter. Following me everywhere, expecting the best, ignoring the past.
I am loved.

It’s an idea that I’ve been playing with for a while. Weighing the ins and outs of every moral & legal crime. What, regardless of situation or context, is never justified?
A conversation last night brought this up again and the only thing we could come up with was child molestation.
With murder, there’s always “self defense” [...]
