I’ve never been one for signs, but as strange as this was, I have to think it meant something.

Jules and I have been struggling with something this week and having something happen like this that is so clearly defined and associated with the Bible, God & peace, helped us.

Why do doves represent peace? Because it is the symbol of the Holy Spirt and in the story of Noah’s Ark, Noah let a dove out of the ark to see if the waters subsided and it brought back an olive branch.

The Dove is one animal in the world that doesn’t kill for food and is fully submissive, even when attacked by other animals, it doesn’t retaliate.

And despite the last picture, it returned and is still nesting atop our refrigerator.

UPDATE: It’s getting late and we’re not allowed to have pets, so we removed it from the refrigerator and set it outside. It set on the railing next to us. We noticed two plastic bands around it’s legs, so we picked it up and removed the bands and let him go.

He’s still sitting above me on the porch railing as I type this :)

UPDATE: It’s 11pm and it’s still perched outside our back door. I’m off to bed. I hope its still there in the morning.

UPDATE: Julie and I woke to the dove fluttering against our bedroom window. I got up and opened the screen door. A few moments later he walked in and perched on our refrigerator, watching us sleep the last hour of our morning, before having to get up for work.
