Who We Are

19Aug08

I think Jesus had it right. Don’t tell people who & what you are, let them decide what you are to them. Actions don’t always align with words, so we must humble ourselves to outside opinions.

As for me, I have the respect of my parents, for the honor I’ve shown them over the years. To them, I’m not just a son, I’m a good son. I’ve made friends who consider me family, proving blood is thicker than we usually assume.

I know more people who love me than hate me, but there are those whose lives I play a negative role in. Efforts should and have been made to explain and better my role in their lives, but when everything fails, the only role left to play is off the stage and behind the curtain.
