Low-budget music video that pays off. The story goes…
December 2007: Rushing to make a due date for a USC Music Video class, I ask my friends Raf and Abby to appear in my video. I like the way they bounce off of each other despite completely different personality types, and think they both have interesting [...]

My friend is the girl in her boyfriend’s music video, “Cut.” It’s from a 7-song EP he just released (Listen @ CDBaby or iTunes). This song reminds me of the mood that Gary Jules’, “Mad World” sets when I hear it- both are wonderfully bittersweet to me.
The video was made by stop-motion, using 1535 photos [...]

Michael Jackson, Tenacious D, Gorillaz, Avril, Rick Astley, Pokemon(?), Shakira, Spice Girls, Numa Numa and more.
Enjoy.

A music video mash-up with the movie “Girl, Interrupted” & Jack Off Jill’s, “Strawberry Gashes.“
Well done, considering the lyrics and film’s content.

Tagged by FightingWindmills, here’s my nomination for the most depressing song.
Barbara Manning, “End of the Rainbow” from the 1212 album.
I feel for you, you little horror
Safe at your mother’s breast
No lucky break for you around the corner
Cause your father is a bully
And he thinks that you’re a pest
And your sister, she’s no better than a [...]

I miss Kailey & Justin.

He started out as a no one…

…until he made friends with Tom (founder of MySpace) and then signed with MySpace Records.
Now he’s gone legit: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=MvYy22J_yBc
(Too famous to let you embed his videos now, pssh)
Same song, night and day difference in the videos.
Oh the difference a year makes.

The beginning of it is here: http://packphour.wordpress.com/2008/12/04/humble-kanye-success/

While I couldn’t find an official video by The Moldy Peaches for their song “Anyone else but you” I did find two that were very good.
First is the remake of the actors in “Juno.“

The second is a combination of one of the best love songs mixed with one of the best [...]

A relaxing break & soothing song…

Last week, Stephen Colbert launched Operation Humble Kanye in an attempt to try and top the high-handed Mr. West on iTunes. Colbert urged viewers of The Colbert Report to purchase his Christmas CD on iTunes so that he could overtake Kanye, whose 808s & Heartbreak sat comfortably atop the iTunes Albums Chart at the time. [...]

Know when you have a bad generalization about someone, but you can’t provide the details to explain it? And then, one night, you stumble across all the facts you need to justify your conclusion? That’s what happened tonight.
The Top Ten Reasons Why Kanye West is a Douche
Some of its quotes include;
He douched out at the [...]

Rearranged

13Aug08

Just think about it
Lately I’ve been skeptical
silent when I would used to speak
Distant from all around me
who witness me fail and become weak
Life is overwhelming
Heavy is the head that wears the crown
I’d love to be the one to disappoint you when I don’t fall down
But you don’t understand when I’m attempting to explain
because you know [...]

A video we shot in one day at a photography studio in Winter Park, FL.

If the internet isn’t good for anything else, it’s good for this. Great songs that weren’t popular, so a music video was never made… until those Anime kids get a hold of it.
I went searching for Suzanne Vega’s, “If I Were a Weapon” with no official results. There was, however, this nice homage.
[...]

Love Song

“Our bodies were instruments. The encores were many.“

It’s amazing what lies we can tell when we frame things out of context.
Thomas Brodahl says, “While waiting for Red Hot Chili Peppers to come on stage. I was standing in the photo pit, shooting the crowd. Everyone was so sweaty and half naked. Looked like a big orgy.”

Unless something gives, I won’t be here very long, she said. I’m going to be in Wintonville, just dreaming about the used-to-be… You see the things that mean so much to you just fade away, you know?
